Accountant
PROFILE
Cap Tamarin is looking for an Accountant, who will have to ensure that all financial statements have been prepared according to accounting frameworks. The candidate will also assist in preparing the monthly, quarterly management accounts and the yearly closings of accounts and group consolidation.
For this position, the accountant will have to ensure that the financial objectives of the organisation are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Booking entries and journal entries to ensure that all business transactions have been recorded.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts of the holding company and its subsidiaries and any other report as requested by management.
- Maintain and follow up of monthly cashflow of the group and company.
- Prepare monthly GFA reports for the projects for banks.
- Reconciliation of monthly and yearly TDS and VAT control accounts and filing of all related returns through e-filing or MNS.
- Maintain the fixed asset register for the Group.
- Reconcile and maintain the Contractors file for the projects.
- Assist in the preparation of Board reporting pack.
- Work in close collaboration with internal and external auditors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
- ACCA/ACA partly or fully qualified
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Fully computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisation skills
- At least 2 years working experience in a similar position

- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy
- Result-oriented
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
