Job Description
We are looking for a Part-time Safety & Health Officer for one of our companies in the construction sector “Integral Construction Enterprise Ltd”. The Part-time Safety & Health Officer will be responsible to coordinate, support and advise the company on all aspects related to Safety & Health. The candidate will need to establish procedures and put in place communication to be compliant to the local legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect project sites to ensure hazard-free environment
- Assessment and approval of subcontractor safety plans
- Verification of tools and equipment
- Promotion of safe practices on site
- Creation and enforcement of safety guidelines and programs
- Manage all communications with Ministry of Labour
- Arrange OSHA-mandated evaluations of the site
- Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures
- Promotion of safe practices on site
- Create, evaluate, and implement health and safety programs and strategies
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least a Degree in Occupational Safety & Health from a recognised institution
- At least 3 years of proven work experience as Safety & Health Officer
- Sound knowledge of legal framework and legislations pertaining to Health and Safety issues
- Fully conversant with the Local Labour Laws and the OSHA 2005
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
